HLL Management Academy (HMA) is actively engaged in research-driven public health
initiatives, focusing on community-centric interventions to promote sustainable health practices.
Through projects like ‘Thinkal,’ HMA has played a pivotal role in assessing the impact of structured
awareness programs on the adoption of Menstrual Cups (M-Cups) as a safe, hygienic, and cost-
effective menstrual product. A recent study conducted in Alappuzha Municipality demonstrated that
targeted education and awareness sessions, facilitated by medical professionals and experienced
users, significantly increased the acceptance and usage of M-Cups among women. The findings
reinforced the importance of well-curated awareness programs in driving behavioural change. HMA
continues to integrate research-based approaches in its public health projects, ensuring that
interventions are evidence-driven and effectively address community needs.
